On a hill just outside the town, but close, rises Cuesta de los Hoyos, where is this Jewish cemetery, active for over two centuries, in an area called El Pinarillo. This is one of the few Jewish necropolises in Europe and from here you can see the city of Segovia.

Jews used the existing limestone in this area to make two types of burials. Some used the caves formed by nature extending and setting them up. And others, the second type corresponds to the anthropomorphic burial pits whose graves are oriented east-west.
