Neolithic fortified settlement of Zarranzano
The fort of Zarranzano is set in a strategic natural location, on a fluvial breakwater between the confluence of the Tera and Zarranzano Rivers and it limited by natural scarps and a strong wall in the Northeast flank. It is a unique example of fort settlement, which allows us to rebuild the Iron Age in the North of the province of Soria.
It repeats a typical settlement of the forts of the North mountain range of Soria, in which predominate the strategic and defensive aspects, naturally obtained for the steep slopes and artificially reinforced.
