The imperial urban structure was characterized by public buildings for the entertainment of citizens. In Asturica Augusta, the curia built two thermal sets: the so-called highest thermal baths, large public complex installed in the center of the ancient city, and then another minor destined to higher social groups, known as minor baths.
The state of preservation of both helps us to understand its working, well proved by the remains of furnaces, hypocausts and rooms intended both to massage bath.
