Castles
Stones with legends to tell
The castle could host up to 1500 infantry men and 200 cavalry men
Fort of Concepcion
It is a replica of the nearby fortress of Almeida in Portugal and it was built on top of the remains of an old Osuna fortress by Manuel de Lara Churriguera. It is shaped as a star. The fortress had three sections, a main section and two secondary sections, interconnected by a tunnel network. The castle could host up to 1500 infantry men and 200 cavalry men.
The exhibit deals with the history of the Fuerte de la Concepión, the most representative monument of Aldea del Obispo, as well as with the daily life of the soldiers who lived in it. Specially noteworthy are the replicas of weapons, the texts and the explanatory illustrations, as well as the audiovisual devices and a large model of the monument.
