A route that includes 16 temples, all representing the union between Christian and Muslim art. In these beautiful churches, built in the Mudejar style, brick is at once the common denominator and differentiating element that sets them apart from other temples of worship.
The Church of Santiago or the Parish Museum of the Church San Juan in Alba de Tormes, together with the Parish Church of Coca de Alba, the Parish Church of Galleguillos or the Parish Church of Peñarandilla are all featured on this route that provides a fascinating insight into the province’s Mudejar architecture. Also worthy of admiration are the magnificent Romanesque-Mudejar apses that can be seen in the Church of Nava de Sotrobal, the Church of Paradinas de San Juan or the Church of Villa de Gallimazo.
This route also includes the following sites of interest: the Parish Church of Turra de Alba, the Church of Aldeaseca de la Frontera, the Church of Gajates, the Church of Rágama and also the Church of Nuestra Señora del Castillo Macotera, the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in Cantaracillo and the Parish Church of San Pedro in Villoria.
