Covalagua is a nature space situated in Pomar de Valdivia at the source of the River Ivia and the start of a route that takes visitors to the area’s principal monuments. It starts in the town of Aguilar de Campoo which boasts a wealth of artistic and cultural heritage that is well worth discovering.

The route then continues to the famous Cave of the French situated 15 kilometres outside Aguilar, before moving on to Gama and Santa María de Mave, towns where visitors can spend an entire day visiting the magnificent churches. Quintanilla de la Berzosa is guaranteed to captivate with its stunning Church of San Martín.

This route also includes the following sites of interest: in Aguilar de Campoo, Reinosa Gate, the Church/Chapel of Santa Cecilia and the Monastery of Santa María la Real; Gama Castle and the Church of San Andrés; the Church of Los Santos Justo y Pastor, carved from the rock in Olleros de Pisuerga; the Convent of Santa María de Mave; in the Santa María district, the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and the Chapel of Santa Eulalia or Olalla; also worthy of admiring is the Wolf Well and the panoramic views from Valcabado Viewpoint.
