Cloister of the Convent of Corpus Christi (Clarisas descalzas)
This is one of the emblematic, beautiful and religious places that enclose the city of Zamora. The Convent of Transito of Corpus Christi, founded in the XVI century by the order of the Poor Clares.
This set of buildings of Renaissance style, has a cloister around which are organized the rooms of the convent. It has rectangular floor, two-storey heights with illuminated windows and built with brick. There are Doric columns on the lower part and Ionic on the higher. In this place is the Virgin of Transito, to who is attributed faith and extensive miraculous works.
This is a beautiful, solemn place and in good condition. A building that conveys the history of those who live and lived in it devoted to its faith.
