Founded by Santo Domingo de Guzmán in the 13th century. It held the General Assembly in 1313 and contained a Estudio General back in the 16th century, offering degrees in Theology and Arts. On the outside, an apse with Renaissance windows, a balustrade and a two-section belfry in the main façade, dating from the 18th century.

Three large naves separated by compound pillars supporting the central ribbed dome. The apse is part of the mausoleum of the marquises of Poza, whose funerary niches lie in the sidewalls, decorated with praying statues. There is a beautiful altarpiece of the Pieta in the chapel of the Dean Zapata, containing Flemish-Gothic bass-relieves.
