It was parish at least since the XIII century until the end of the XIX century.
Facing the ruin that it must suffer at the early XVI century Fray Diego de Deza, decided to rebuild it at his expense in the year 1516. It is rectangular, with a single nave and a chancel. It has ribbed vaults, of whose keys hang the coat of arms of the famous Bishop Deza, confidant and adviser of Christopher Columbus.
