Churches and Chapels
Church of Sancti Spiritu
This church was founded in the 12th century. In the 13th century it was given to the Order of Santiago, whose abbot handed it to the nuns of the same order, who lived here until the 18th century.
On the outside, the church is mostly Renaissance and Plateresque. The door has a pointed arch and two medallions located in the arch joints contain the busts of a man and a woman, probably Don Martín Alonso, the son of Alfonso IX, and his wife Doña María Meléndez de Portugal. Their coats of arms are on the sides of the second section of the front and their relics lie in two sepulchres inside the church
