The church has a single nave with semicircular chevet. It is a simple construction of irregular ashlar blocks. The nave is covered by a barrel vault separated from the chevet by a triumphal arch supported by pilasters staggered. Its lowered horseshoe arches are one of its most unique features along with the unique window wall.

The church is probably the oldest of Bierzo in Romanesque style, of the late XI century. It is a construction in which we can see the mixture of clear Romanesque with reminiscences of Mozarab art. Images inside: Crucifix from the XVI century and San Cosme y San Damian of the Spanish style of the XVII century with their rigid clothes.
