The VELA ZANETTI FOUNDATION is located a few meters from the Cathedral, in the Casona del Corral de Villapérez. This Foundation offers a wide selection of works, from the different stages of the painter José Vela Zanetti (1913-1999), as well as photographs and documents that help to make a more complete vision of his life. The funds come mostly from the collection of the painter himself and his family, as well as donations from private collectors. In its rooms there is also a magnificent mural made in ink on a table titled "The Great Spanish Parnassus", donated by the Germán Plaza family in 1997, and most of the preserved sketches of the great mural that the master captured in the New York headquarters of the UN "The route to Freedom", known as a mural of Human Rights ".
