The men guide the cow around the streets of the town
La Vaca enmaromada
In this celebration a rope is tied around the horns of a cow and the other end is held by the participants, who drive the cow around the streets of the town. The origins of this tradition would appear to lie with the pig farmers of Palazuelo, who observed a marriage ritual in Extremadura whereby the groom and his friends drove a cow tied with a rope to the bride’s house.
