A small farming town in Cea-Campos area of the province of León. Seat of a noble family. The layout still preserves the walled structure and one of the five original gates. The centre of the town boasts the Plaza Mayor or main square, presided over by the Church of San Miguel and the Palace that was home to the Counts of Grajal.

Features of its medieval architecture include the use of clay and solid brickwork, creating a uniform effect in terms of textures and the earth tones that are typical of the towns and the villages of Tierra de Campos with their traditional clay-based constructions.
