Three nave temple with tunnel vaults. Latin cross shaped, more than three hundred capitals that tell the story of the holy scriptures. There are 12th century Romanesque paintings covering the vaults, it is known as the Capilla Sixtina del Romanico (the Sistine Chapel of Romanesque Art).

The Panteon Real twenty-three Kings and Queens, twelve Infantas and nine Counts are buried, is noteworthy.

The Isidorian cloister was the setting for the Royal Curia in 1188, convened by King Alfonso IX, who propitiated the "Decreta", a normative set that UNESCO has declared "Memory of Humanity", thus accrediting the city of León as "Cradle of Parliamentarism".
