Churches and Chapels
Church of Santa Maria Magdalena
Small and nicely structured 12th-century Romanesque church the south front has archivolts with carved-in vegetal motifs and inside there is a sepulchre of the 13th century covered by a baldachin. The church held public justice trials.
According to various investigations, this temple is related to the Hospitallers, the Templars and the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem until the 19th century. The elegance in its lines and the purity of forms make it have an incredible perfection. It is one of the most beautiful churches in the city and its construction is due to the architect Giral Fruchel, known for works such as the Ávila Cathedral.
The curiosity of this church is that it is necessary to look for the carved bishop in its southern door, they say that if you do not manage to see him, you do not marry.
