At the western end of the Montaña de Riaño and Mampodre Regional Park, the high mountain landscape is presented as a mosaic of peaks and valleys, extraordinarily preserved forests, meadows and orchards, glacial lagoons and quiet towns that trace centuries of history. . In one of them, Puebla de Lillo, a medieval tower from the 14th century remains standing dominating the Alto Porma valley and the El Torreón Park House has been installed inside.

Distributed over three levels, this heritage symbol of the town shows on its first floor a general vision of the Regional Park through panels that expose the great variety of flora and fauna, in addition to the infinite possibilities of enjoying the environment.

Here there is also an area called "Memory of the Mountain of Riaño and Mampodre", where it is possible to listen to the testimony of the mountain people talking about the hilandorio (meeting once dinner is over, at night, around the home) the aluches (fight Leonese), the beceras (livestock of the town kept in shifts by the neighbors) or the work in the mine and contemplate its daily objects.

A circular staircase follows the profile of the old construction to access the second floor called "Valleys and Mountains", an allegory of the two worlds that the Park treasures, as well as the history of the elements that have shaped the landscape throughout of the centuries. In addition, a section is dedicated to the unique native pine forest known as the Pinar de Lillo, a beautiful ecosystem in which the capercaillie and the brown bear live, without forgetting the Pardomino forest and its forest masses of beech, birch and oak trees.

On the third floor, "The Man in the Mountain of Riaño and Mampodre, Interpretation of the Landscape" surprises with its concept of a viewpoint of the environment, a perfect glass balcony from which to have a better perception of the grandeur of the landscape, complemented by a superb model of the Regional Park and without forgetting the relationship of the territory with transhumance and its cultural legacy and its gastronomy linked to natural resources and ways of life.
