The Alternative Theatre Festival (FETALE) of Urones de Castroponce with barely 110 inhabitants, in the province of Valladolid was born in 1996 as a result of the realization of the cultural week of the municipality by the cultural association of housewives "La Amistad", the organization is a great success, it includes different genres, one for each day of the week and at that time there was a clear commitment by the city council and subsequently other institutions to achieve an annual, growing Festival and to consolidate it.

The festival has grown exponentially year after year, becoming a benchmark in the performing arts in the Terracampina region and rapidly expanding its performance spaces such as the Corral de la Anuncia. In its great growth, it has peculiarities that differentiate it from others, such as its diversity, since during its celebration, various performing activities take place, covering different styles (street theatre, family theatre, dance, physical theatre, music, meetings with the public, plastic arts, cinema) and in different spaces, not only in the town, but also in the region.
