The cultural event will begin with a presentation by the group Las tardes del club , followed by the narration of some episodes from the life of Ángel González and the reading of several poems that fit into different life experiences of the figure of Ángel González, an Asturian poet whose centenary is celebrated this 2025.

Lasting approximately 35-40 minutes, this group invites the adult public to attend this public reading, which is sure to be very enjoyable, and to read a poem if they wish.

The memory of Ángel González , one of the most outstanding poets of the 50 generation, is kept in the Caja de las Letras of the Instituto Cervantes with a legacy made up of numerous books, a self-portrait, letters, photographs and other objects that summarize his life and creative work, deposited in memoriam in an act held in February 2023.

For Luis García Montero , director of the Cervantes Institute since 2018, remembering the "lyrical and civic lesson of his work and life," as well as his literature committed to the anti-Franco struggle, is essential because "maintaining awareness and resistance is also maintaining hope." He also highlighted the connections that González's "crucial" work established with Latin American literature, especially with the Peruvian poet César Vallejo.

Admission is free and open to the public until full capacity is reached.
