In 2026, we continue our commitment to cultural dissemination with a new installment of EMERITUS. This interview series brings the public closer to the lives and reflections of key figures in culture and the humanities. This time, the featured guest will be Germán Delibes.

Formerly Professor of Prehistory and currently Honorary Professor Emeritus at the University of Valladolid, he is the author of two dozen books and more than three hundred articles on prehistoric archaeology. His preferred research areas include the megalithic phenomenon, the beginnings of metallurgy, Bell Beaker pottery, salt archaeology, and pre-Roman jewelry. He currently focuses his research on three areas: the megalithic phenomenon in the Burgos region of La Lora (with M. Moreno, R. Villalobos, and A. Santa Cruz); the prehistoric exploitation of salt in the Zamora lagoons of Villafáfila (with E. Guerra Doce and J. Abarquero Moras); and the funerary practices of the Bronze Age group Cogotas I (with A. Esparza and J. Velasco).
