LA CASA DE LAS MANUELAS
In the region of the Moraña in the province of Avila, it is Horcajo de las Torres. From the architectural point of view it is typical Moorish building past, widespread centuries in this part of Castilla and Leon. As was typical in these constructions, the house has a courtyard and a cellar. La Posada was an old farmhouse, with more than 250 years old. In rehabilitation it has retained the charm of its construction, maintaining its double and wooden beams that hold the roof, the cobblestones and brick walls, doors and hydraulic floors.
La Posada has two floors. On the ground floor are the common areas for guests, with excellent lounge with comfortable sofas to spend pleasant moments of relaxation and tranquility, two dining rooms, bathrooms, a bright outdoor patio and cozy where there is a small stone fountain, a barbecue and a clay oven in which roasts are made. If time permits, the patio is equipped to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner outdoors. On the upper floor, keeping the original facade, they are the five guest rooms, which have private bathrooms, Smart TV and wifi.
At the Inn restaurant service is offered, with a menu based on the cuisine of the area, making roast lamb and suckling pig in mud oven in the courtyard of the inn, using oak wood. Among its specialties are also cooked stew, selection of craft croquettes, scrambled eggs with ham and made famous Ávila T-bone in the coals of the barbecue. They can also taste their delicious homemade desserts, fried ice cream, cheesecake and ice creams.
Less than half an hour of Posada, are so Castillian and emblematic cities such as Medina del Campo, Arevalo and Peñaranda de Bracamonte. 40 minutes is Salamanca and in less than an hour you can get to Avila, Valladolid and Zamora. Note that only 8 km. Horcajo de las Torres, is Madrigal de las Altas Torres, cradle of Isabel the Catholic.
The owner and manager of the Posada offers a personalized service to guests, advising them on their visits around the area. In addition to the tranquility of the countryside, you can perform activities such as mycology, hiking, bird watching and knowing how vintage or killing is done in the traditional style. The Inn also offers customers bicycles free of charge in collaboration with a charity project.
