The Provincial Museum of Folk Costume in Morón de Almazán will host the fifth edition of the seminar "The Sung Word" on Saturday and Sunday, November 29th and 30th. This event focuses on the study of music in oral tradition. Organized by the Castilian and Leonese Institute of Language and the Provincial Council of Soria , these specialized sessions are held in collaboration with Soriamuseum and the Morón de Almazán City Council. The seminar's presentations, papers, and discussions will explore the study of oral tradition music from various disciplines, aiming to provide participants with a broad and diverse perspective on oral tradition music and folklore, as well as aspects of its preservation and current use.

In 2025, 40 researchers of oral tradition music from Aragon, Valencia, Asturias, Madrid, La Rioja and Castilla y León will meet in Morón de Almazán ; they will all discuss and present the latest research on music and folklore.

These conferences aim to preserve, study, and disseminate Spain's rich traditional musical heritage, creating a space for dialogue between different regions and highlighting the importance of oral tradition as a living cultural element. The conferences feature a series of presentations that address traditional music and culture from diverse regional and methodological perspectives.
