It was inhabited by Astures.
Neolithic fortified settlement of Chano
The fort of Chano stands out for its exceptional state of preservation. About twenty buildings have been located.
The housing could reach until 5, 5 meters of diameter and its walls a thickness of 60 cm. The unique opening was the entrance door and this is elevated over the ground. They are buildings of domestic type; the center of the home had a large slab of slate, marked by sloping slabs.
The fort was lived by Astures between the century I BC, and the first half of the century I AC. A violent abandon of the village has not been documented although it have been found some coins (small treasures) in the houses, what indicates thus, a quick abandonment for still unknown reasons.
