Curious municipality by its origins, since it is supposed that a Celtiberian people settled there, and was a cross point of an important Roman road.

This municipality stands out nowadays for its ancient tower, which accompanies the place from the X century, of Berber origin. It looks slender and bold with its 18 metres, almost square floor and thick walls covering three floors of height, where there are still marks of the beams that define them. Its door is on the façade, hidden in a passage, connecting the tower with the late Romanesque church of San Juan Bautista (XII century). Gaps and loopholes are appreciated on its curtain wall.

It’s an original and precious building, covered by a gable roof.
