If we visit the beautiful city of Valladolid, in its north side, near where the city finishes, we find the convent founded by St. Teresa, the fourth as she explains in her ‘Book of the Foundations’. It was fundamental for its construction the help of Mrs. Maria de Mendoza, wife of the marquis of Camarasa and sister of the bishop of Avila and her collaborator.

The nuns moved to it in the XVI century as a residence place and vegetable garden, and it was not until the XVII century when the church, cloister, chapels were built ..., everything was always simple and strict, as the standards of Santa Teresa rule. Building made up mainly of brick and only stones in the corners and façade, of large voussoirs. This small church has a single nave, barrel vault, transept with dome, skirting board of tilling... All these various details give it a simple beauty. It is a place within which we find memories of Teresa and works of important authors.
