The church was mostly built in the 15th century. The main chapel was erected in the 14th century. This is surrounded by three walls, totally concealed behind the altarpiece and the presbytery, with a double vault standing on half columns. Up above are the belfry and the coats of arms of Castilla y León. There is a group of sculptures representing the Virgen de las Angustias, of the 16th century, by Gregorio Fernández.
