The pointed arches and vaults, and the buttresses, with cistercian traces, are baroque, but the church also features many Zamora romanesque elements, such as the apse end or the decoration of the fronts.

It used to belong to the Order of Saint John, which had the church built in the 12th century. Today, it is a parish church. It has a narrow door with Romanesque decorative motifs such as palms and flowers in the first and third archivolts. The central archivolt features figures in a radial composition. A relief of Christ located in the keystone tops off the front.
