The church has a single nave with chapels between the buttresses. The exterior has been heavily altered during a recent reform. There is a stone lintel front. Above it there is a niche containing a sculpture of the Virgen del Carmen, dating from 1676, a replica of the original work by Gregorio Fernández.

The chapel next to the Epistle contains a crucifix by Gregorio Fernández.In the transept stands the altarpiece, dating from the first quarter of the 17th century, with a sculpture of Saint John of the Cross.On both sides of the presbytery stand two 18th-century sculptures of the archangels Saint Raphael and Saint Gabriel.
