The church has a rectangular 12th-century mozarabic tower topped off by a curved hollow spire accessed from the outside.

The original 13th-century structure was erected by the Templar Order. It has a rectangular ground plan consisting of three bodies and there are interesting pointed windows of different sizes, some of them adorned by columns. The walls are decorated with folded motifs. There is a bust of an ox, probably connected with the name of the village.
