The section through the Alfoz de Burgos and La Bureba, of the old Santander Mediterráneo railway, is part of what promises to be one of the longest and most attractive Greenways in Castile and León, between the city of Soria and the border of Burgos with Cantabria . This section starts near the city of Burgos and heads towards Las Merindades (to the north). The 43.7 km itinerary seduces us with successive changes of landscape (cereal plain, sickles, hills, meadows...), in a territory of small rural towns. The route is between the towns of Quintanilla Vivar and Castellanos de Bureba in the province of Burgos.
