To the northeast of the province of Burgos and serving as a privileged access to the Cantabrian Sea from the Castilian plateau, rises the beautiful town of Briviesca.

The historic capital of La Bureba, next to the waters of the Oca River, was baptized by Azorín as "the heart of Burgos" and has an exceptional artistic heritage.

Its urban center preserves the medieval atmosphere with streets full of emblazoned houses and arcaded squares, where monuments such as the Collegiate Church of Santa María or the monumental complex of Santa Clara, known as "the Escorial of the altarpieces", stand out.

In its rich gastronomy, its famous lamb and its typical blood sausage with rice stand out.
