The eastern end of the Cantabrian mountain range forms a natural wall along which the Montes Obarenes Natural Park extends. This natural mosaic is outlined by beautiful gorges and gorges rich in biodiversity thanks to the confluence of the Atlantic and Mediterranean climates.

The unique climatic characteristics and rugged terrain favor the coexistence of a large number of plant species, among which live one hundred and twenty-eight animal species, some of them especially vulnerable.

In the town of San Zadornil, on the Mediterranean side of the Montes Obarenes Natural Park, you will find the La Metrópoli Verde Park House. This facility is more than an information point, as it has also been designed as a meeting and rest place. In addition, it provides electric bicycle rental services and guided tours.
