Its original appearance (XIV century) is remained very little, something of the external appearance of the tower, as its strong walls and few loopholes. The dynasty of Los Angulo reached from Mena over several provinces, and soon they settled in Rio de Losa. The tower was built by Juan, second son of Hernan Sanchez de Angulo, when he went there.
