Guardo Electrochemical Factory Laundry Museum
The Centre is actually the old laundry that the company Unión Española de Explosivos, SA built in the 1960s for its workers. The water in the laundry was heated using the factory's own cooling system. In 1943, this large calcium carbide factory came into operation, later becoming an entire industrial complex with many chemical plants. On the panels of the restored Explosivos laundry you will find information that will help you discover the history of the company, the factory and what was produced inside.
