An event dedicated especially to a cinema focused on alternative subjects to the most common in commercial cinema and aiming to show a different view.

The International Film Festival of Ponferrada is divided into two sections: official and parallel. In the first of it participate short films, animation, documentaries, experimental films..., arrived from different countries; and in the second both movies and short films, aimed at children and adults are presented.
