In this new Musical Evening, Manuela del Caño will introduce us to the zarzuela to discover its origins, its great names, and its unforgettable melodies.

On January 30, 2024, zarzuela was officially declared a Representative Manifestation of Spain's Intangible Cultural Heritage. This recognition celebrates not only its artistic and historical value, but also its ability to reflect, through music and words, the soul of our country.

Zarzuela is much more than a stage genre: it is a window into our collective identity, a mirror of customs, accents, and emotions that have spanned generations. From the courtly salons of the 17th century to the popular theaters of the 20th century, it has adapted and interacted with the times, combining music, humor, social criticism, and a profound popular sensibility.
