Pintan coplas is a tribute to traditional Spanish song and, of course, to the copla, a genre that is vilified today but which nevertheless hides a latent musical and cultural value.
From a personal perspective and with our own musical arrangements, we revive the soundtrack of a time, that of wartime and postwar Spain. In those times of division, the copla was what united those on both sides and allowed them to celebrate and enjoy themselves.
The copla reflects an entire era because it was its television, its radio, its leisure, its escape.
The flute, the piano and contemporary dance come together in a tribute to the music that once helped us survive.
