Sarabela Teatro presents The Golden Dragon, a contemporary performance tragedy with a grotesque tone by Roland Schimmelpfennig, the most performed living German playwright internationally. One night, in a multi-story building somewhere in Europe, a young Chinese man suffers a severe toothache in the kitchen of an Asian fast-food restaurant. He has no residence permit and has not found his missing sister. The show addresses burning issues in social debate such as illegal immigration and forced prostitution, with subtle humor and a blend of fantasy and reality. The staging features a generous and dedicated team that gives their all to inhabit a fascinating, unique universe.
