Deadpan, from the English word "dead face, blank of expression, imperturbable"; Karaoke, from the Japanese words kara ('empty') and oke ('orchestra').

Deadpan Karaoke is a participatory one-person show whose main ingredients are absurdity, stupidity, surprise, comedy, music, and cinema, all framed in a space that transitions from the real to the dreamlike with a clear artistic ambition and that captures the sublime nature of love through moments of great beauty.

Deadpan is a character incapable of feeling and expressing emotion, which gives him the authority and clarity necessary to decipher the universe of love through this comic-musical catharsis. In this society of extreme narcissism, can we leap into the void of love?
