Au long d’une courte distance de paysage plat, changeant au rythme de la croissance du blé, nous trouvons un nombre considérable de villages avec leurs églises respectives et leur histoires conservées au fil du temps.

À Fuentes de Año, la visite de son église suppose une révision de l’histoire de l’art péninsulaire entre les XII et XVIIIe siècles. Très près, à la petite localité de Canales, nous trouvons une paroisse qui conserve beaucoup plus de ce qu’elle montre au visiteur. Nous continuons le chemin jusqu’à Fuente el Sáuz, où il ressort l’abside mudéjar de sa paroisse : l’église de Cantiveros, et à Flores de Ávila, son retable majeur montrera des sculptures libres dignes d’admiration.

Au long de cette route nous pouvons visiter : l’église de Fuentes de Año, l’église de Canales, l’église de la Asunción de Nuestra Señora, l’église paroissiale de Cantiveros, l’église paroissiale de San Cipriano, l’église de San Juan de la Cruz / Maison natale de Fontiveros et l’église de Santa María del Castillo de Flores de Ávila.
