In CORSARIO SCENES, actors from TEATRO CORSARIO perform a dramatized reading of scenes from shows throughout history, accompanied by music. An instructive and charming recital, in the vein of "Palabra de Corsario" and "Mujeres del Siglo de Oro," with performers Jesús Peña, Carlos Pinedo, Blanca Izquierdo, and Rosa Manzano, and excerpts from works by Calderón de la Barca ("El gran teatro del Mundo," "Amar después de la muerte," "El mayor encanto, amor," "La vida es sueño," and "El médico de su honor"); Lope de Vega ("Assault on the City of Maastricht" and "El caballero de Olmedo"); Agustín Moreto ("El retrato vivo") and José Zorrilla ("Traitor, unconfessed, and martyr").
