Presentation of the book "Disparatavus" by Francisco Claver (Claverg)
Participants: Francisco Claver and Joaquín Paredes (photographer).
Disparatavus is the first photobook published by Francisco Claver (Claverg). With this work, carried out in the province of Cáceres over several years, the author aims to provoke a reflection: "Disparatavus takes place in Extremadura, but it could happen anywhere. It speaks of a festival and, at the same time, of all festivals. It proposes a game, but it is also a question. This jumble of rituals and spontaneity, of mystery and energy, can move us, amuse us, or make us uncomfortable. That depends on each reader."
Francisco Claver Grados is a philosophy professor and photographer. He began his photography career in 2013 and completed his training in specialized workshops and courses with Sofía Moro, Gonzalo Azumendi, José Manuel Navia, Cristina García Rodero, Alberto García Alix, Joaquín Paredes, Pierre Gonnord, and Gervasio Sánchez.
His early work focused on commercial photography. He participated in several festivals. Another area of his work was travel photography, with several projects culminating in an exhibition in Cáceres and other locations in Extremadura. It is in this region that he has concentrated his projects in recent years, participating in initiatives such as the "Art Containers" exhibition, which can be seen in Moraleja.
