Silent film with live piano by José Miguel Martínez Carrobles

1927 American silent comedy film directed by Frank Capra and starring Harry Langdon . The film represents a rite of passage into adulthood for Langdon's character, symbolized by his wearing long trousers for the first time.

When Harry receives his first pair of long trousers, the first thing he does is try to impress girls. Unfortunately, he falls for the least suitable girl. Harry is an innocent boy who until then has lived locked away in his own world, nurturing all kinds of romantic fantasies through books. And as you might expect, the gap between his fantasies and reality is so vast that the situation is comical.


Jose Miguel M. Carrobles is a versatile musician who integrates both classical pianist and improviser into his career. His repertoire ranges from Bach to contemporary composers, with a special interest in the music of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Liszt, Debussy, Scriabin, and others. In recent years, he has also focused his work on silent film accompaniment.
