Local Music. 3rd November Folk

How can we not sing if we have a throat? How can we not make music if we can use our hands and feet? How can we not dance if our body asks us to? We sing and dance to the rain, to the fire, to the harvest, to births, to death, to love, to work…

The origin of music is uncertain, but as old as we are; we need music and it is present in the essence of our communities.

November once again dresses up in folk music with this third edition of " Music of Proximity ." It's a tribute to these roots musics, their musicians, and the informants, those elderly people who, like human libraries, store, preserve, and transmit the sounds of yesterday so they can be heard today and be possible tomorrow. Thank you all.

Let the musicians come and let the music play!

  • Canto di Passione: A Journey Through Neapolitan and Southern Italian Music

Arimetrie Concert, with Daniele La Torre and José M. de la Fuente

A concert celebrating the rich musical tradition of Neapolitan and Southern Italy, reinterpreted with a modern approach. The duo of Daniele La Torre (vocals, mandolin, bouzouki, charango) and José Miguel de la Fuente (classical guitar, Renaissance lute) offers a unique musical experience, thanks to their strong connection and versatility.
The concert unfolds through a fascinating timeline, from Renaissance and Baroque songs to the Romantic Classical period, finally reaching contemporary expressions. The songs address universal themes such as conflict, impossibility, passion, diversity, social differences, and hope, making the music not only a narrative of the past, but a reflection of current challenges.

The two musicians' innovative approach further enriches the performance: through the use of loops and pedals applied to vintage instruments, some songs are reinterpreted with fresh, modern sounds. This fusion of tradition and innovation excites and engages the audience, turning each concert into a unique experience.
