Local Music. 3rd November Folk

How can we not sing if we have a throat? How can we not make music if we can use our hands and feet? We sing of the rain, the fire, the harvest, birth, death, love, work...

The origin of music is uncertain, but as old as we are; we need music and it is present in the essence of our communities.

November once again dresses up in folk music with this third edition of " Music of Proximity ." It's a tribute to these roots musics, their musicians, and the informants, those elderly people who, like human libraries, store, preserve, and transmit the sounds of yesterday so they can be heard today and be possible tomorrow. Thank you all.

Let the musicians come and let the music play!

  • Pass 3 to 2

Concert by Jonás Gimeno and Diego Escolano (Pasatrés)

Pasa3 a 2 is a dynamic and moving concert, a journey through traditional Aragonese music narrated by its traditional instruments and voices. From the music of gaiteros—as professional musicians are generically known in our region—to domestic music; from albadas to romances, and from dance touches to the modern baile agarrao, sung by almost thirty traditional instruments or simply sung to the sound of domestic percussion… A concert in which we will delve into the roots of Aragonese music with the help of the Pasatrés bagpipers, who will tour their 20-year career, playing dances, pilgrimages, albadas, dances, and processions. The concert will also feature music from other regions, especially French Occitania, which has been part of their area of experience.

Day: November 7
