Julio Balbás Castro - president of the Intergenerational Horizon Association (AHIBurgos) - will give the talk "Emotional Management and Social Skills", accompanied by psychologists Carlota C. Gómez Bayona and Guillermo Ortiz Vadillo, at the Gonzalo de Berceo Library at 7:00 p.m.

This talk, aimed at health professionals, patients, family and friends, educators and the community in general, stems from a commitment to emotional well-being and integral human development and aims to break stigmas about mental health, cultivate social, empathetic and relational skills and offer practical tools for emotional management and the building of healthy relationships.

This activity aims to create a space for authentic reflection, where participants can connect with fundamental topics such as mental health, conscious communication, active listening, emotional intelligence, and intergenerational relationships as the basis for a more humane and approachable education.

Julio Balbás (author of Rara Avis, with a prologue by Lola Fernández Ochoa) will give the talk along with two specialized professionals: Carlota Carolina Gómez Bayona (General Health Psychologist), who provides therapeutic tools based on the cognitive-behavioral perspective and third-generation therapies, applied to the approach to mood disorders, anxiety, grief, emotional management, social skills and communication, as well as her experience in individual workshops of cognitive stimulation and fine motor skills; and Guillermo Ortiz Vadillo (General Health Psychologist with a transpersonal approach), who provides resources for self-knowledge, emotional regulation and the integration of body-mind-emotion, promoting conscious presence, empathy and authentic communication in interpersonal relationships.
