SYNOPSIS: "The Inheritance," "The Third Way," and "The General's Return." Three chapters of the same story: that of the García Morato family. The great absentee, the general, the father who died 40 years ago. His three children and their mother; the swimming pool and the house. All protagonists of their own lives, who, word by word, unravel the past and what they intend to do with their future. At the same time, they are secondary characters or narrators in each other's lives, forging a path of no return where, one day, they hope to find common ground. A moment when they can think that these have been 40 years of peace. 40 Years of Peace speaks of communication, or rather, its lack, in a family scarred by the absence of one of its members.
