Pragmatism
Sergio López Rapado

Letrame Publishing, 2025

Pragmatecmerism is an attempt to reinvent politics. Faced with the exhaustion of traditional ideologies trapped in their dogmas and narratives, this work proposes a new doctrine that unites pragma (action) and tekmerion (proof). Every political decision must be justified with data, evidence, and measurable results. This essay rigorously analyzes the dual crisis facing our societies: the humanist crisis, marked by a loss of meaning in life, and the political crisis, reflected in citizen distrust and the collapse of institutions. From this perspective, pragmatecmerism proposes a new model: an auditing state that supervises rather than manages, an active meritocratic democracy that returns power to an educated and vigilant citizenry, and a system of rights that combines individual freedom and collective well-being under the principle of rational egoism. With a solid conceptual framework and a profoundly practical approach, Sergio López invites us to move beyond sterile ideological debate and build policies that work, that restore purpose to the individual and effectiveness to government.

Sergio López Rapado , born in Zamora, is a telecommunications engineer and data specialist. With a data-driven approach and experience in Big Data and GenAI, he has dedicated his career to technological architecture and innovation applied to information management.

His profile combines technical vision with a constant interest in political and economic philosophy, which has led him to reflect on how technology and data can transform social systems.
