" Telling the story of Don Quixote with music: among vihuelas, verses and windmills "

Following our last Musical Afternoon, in which we analyzed the music contained in Cervantes' most universal literary work, Don Quixote, we will conclude our exploration of this fantastic work through the vision of the composers who used it as a reference for their compositions. We will hear how Don Quixote can be reinterpreted and narrated through the language of music, revealing new emotional, symbolic, and cultural layers of the work. We will see how the most iconic episodes—the knighting ceremony, the windmills, the visions, the disillusionment, the madness, and the lucidity—find expressive parallels in historical and contemporary musical genres. An invitation to listen to literature and read music.
