The 2nd Act Theatre Association (Aranda de Duero) premiered its latest production in October 2024: The Flight of the Doves , a previously unpublished text by playwright José Luis Alonso de Santos .
A story in which Angustias and Carmina will see their friendship, hitherto non-negotiable, put to the test by the appearance of an indecent amount of money.
Or can anyone categorically state that their life wouldn't change if they suddenly found hundreds of thousands of euros in their house?
Terrorism, "sexual" perversion, nightlife, homicide, alcoholism, and even complicity with a criminal municipal bus line shape this delirious story in which, finally, the best human emotions emerge.
Ana Rosa Alonso and Raquel Aparicio, friends both on and off stage, have extensive experience in the world of acting. Born in Burgos but based in Aranda de Duero for work, they bring the two protagonists of the play to life for an hour and a half without a break. They have participated in other theatrical projects previously, having joined the Theater Association in 2019.
Diego Alonso holds a degree in psychology. He also holds a master's degree in Performing Arts and a master's degree in Human Resources Management from Sagardoy Business & Law School, where he currently teaches. He has worked in television, film, and in more than twenty theater projects as a playwright, director, and actor, both in Spain and the United States.
José Luis Alonso de Santos. Playwright and director. He is currently the President of the 2nd Act Theater Association.
